I will give my word but it will mean very little until you have my seal upon the paper, and for Fox to have done the same.

Understand, I am requiring yours first, when I arrive. Fox and I have a great deal to lose if you fail to sign it, while you have very little.

At no point did I refuse to sign the contract. I implore you to use your ears to listen to my words, I am not saying them for my own amusement. I only refused to sign first.

TENSHOUIN EICHI HE'S GOING TO POUND ON YOUR FRONT DOOR, BRANDISHING A ROLLED UP CONTRACT IN HIS OTHER HAND ]

[Eichi just laughs, honestly. That's the best part about all of this! Shu's frustration!

He goes to the door when the pounding starts up, meeting him there on his own.]

[Eichi closes the door behind him when he comes in, leading Shu to his room in short order, where Fox is being kept.]

[fox is sitting in a corner on the floor, slumped against the wall at an odd angle in order to relieve pressure on his injured hip. blood has soaked through his kimono on that side but doesn't appear to be fresh. his expression is vacant, almost hollow, and he looks exhausted, bags under his eyes and his skin pale... no, white. white as in monochromatic. there's very little color left on him at this point, the sofaform disorder having started to take hold.

but when shu enters he notices, his eyes moving before his head slowly lifts]

... Shu...? Is that... truly you?
