[ There's a long pause, like someone isn't sure if his mailbox is recording yet. But there's two taps against the speaker, making sure it's on, and then a voice pronounces crisply: ]
In reality, I doubt the have clothes that would fit your form, so I do not know how much of my knowledge of the area carries over, but I do know clothes. You may also just wish to wear a hat-- I believe the unit accessory would mark you as one of this unit well enough.
And that sounds like something I had done during my time on Dance Macabre. I didn’t bother with the outfits and, instead, just put on a number of unit themed accessories. However, in this case I thought I might... [ he gets onto his hind legs and takes a couple of awkward steps here and there as he makes a sweeping motion over himself with his claw. ] be a bit more vocal about the unit I’m on. [ through fashion... mostly. ] I’m not a guest star anymore, [ gets down on all fours again. ] and I appreciate Taisho giving me a home.
We have done very little. This is the home you were provided with, yes, but this is a unit at odds with itself, especially as of late. Had you been a bit earlier, perhaps that would be more true.
...you all seem willing to give me a chance, and that's about as much as I can ask for right now. I... am a monster, and I'm sure that's off-putting, but there's not a whole lot I can do about that. [ nods. ] I have heard about that from a few different members. I'm sorry that's the case, because comradery among unitmates seems important, but I still intend to do my best for all of you.
Somewhat. I did have to learn to talk, because my, er, species isn't predisposed to being able to speak... at least as far as I know. I -am- the only one of my kind.
I was created in a lab as a sort of [ clears his throat and looks a bit... annoyed at the choice of words he's going to be using, but there aren't many ways to describe it. ] pet project. My creator wanted to impress her step brother and thus... me. To my knowledge another has never been created and I don't think she had been really paying much attention to my genetic code, but instead just figuring out how to stitch something together that would work... [ his tone grows somber. ]
...she had her reasons for doing it, but the reasons did not revolve around me. I was just a tool to try to drive her closer to him, but he was hard to impress. And, not only that, he was an asshole.
...she might have made me for him, but she did care about me once I came to be. And, not only that, she's all I had. If I encountered anybody else they were keen on either dissecting me or killing me, though there's hardly a difference. I'm not entirely sure what love is, but I like to think that she may have... loved me... [ maybe. probably not, but... 8( ]
You did not perceive the trick of the eye because you did not adjust for context. In humans, schizophrenics often fall prey to that as well, as the sensory and conceptual parts of their brains are theorized to not be connected the way the rest of mankind's is. I ought not to have expected something that is not even human to be able to percieve it, when even humans whose brain's machinery has stopped gears cannot. I have not the slightest idea as to how your brain is wired.
...not like a human's, clearly. [ grumbles, looking aside. ] But I didn't need to fail a stupid test for that to be made apparent. I'm a animal, a beast, a monster, and that hasn't changed. And, honestly, it never will, though I have taken several strides in the "right" direction.

Considering the monsters already on this unit, I am in no place to be picky. You do not appear to have the mind of a beast, at the very least.
